Do I need a backend to use Gapform?
No. Gapform hosts the form, validates the input, and stores every submission. If you do have a backend, point a webhook at it and you get the payload the moment someone submits.
How do I embed a form on my site?
Paste one script tag and a div with your form id. The form renders inline in the page flow, or as a modal or side panel if you prefer. No iframe height hacks.
Can I see how the form looks before publishing?
Yes. The preview shows desktop, mobile, the embed code, and the hosted link from the same editor, and you can share a preview URL with your team.
What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?
We retry with exponential backoff and keep the submission safe in your inbox. Once the endpoint recovers you can replay any delivery from the log.
Where is my submission data stored?
In your Gapform workspace. Export to CSV or pull everything through the API at any time.
Does it work with my stack?
Anywhere you can add a script tag: Next.js, React, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, or static HTML. Webhooks cover the rest of the pipeline.
Can multiple people work on the same forms?
